The Jupiter JEP-470 is 4 valve top acition, non-compensating euphonium targeted towards the student and amateur market. This is a suitable instrument for a keen primary school student or an advancing player seeking a 4-valve instrument but not ready to launch into a very expensive compensating valve instrument. The JEP-470 model precedes the current JEP-1005 having very similar specs and playing characteristics.
This used euphonium is in good playing condition. It has just been serviced and all mechanical details are in order and the instrument has overall excellent valve compression (average mag reading 1in/H2O though all valves). The lacquer finish is worn in areas and there are numerous shallow scratches. There is some denting and signs of dent repair and it has evidence of some minor (neat and tidy) solder work on some bracing.
The instrument comes in the original Jupiter case which is in good condition and a Blessing 6-1/2AL mouthpiece.
