This is a 1971 Holton T500 "Al Hirt" model trumpet in very good vintage condition. The instrument shows honest wear and finish marks consistent with its age, but remains an excellent playing trumpet. The valves have great compression and are smooth and responsive, making this a fantastic choice for players looking for a characterful vintage American instrument.
Introduced following Leblanc's acquisition of Holton in the mid-1960s, the T500 was designed with influence from French makers such as Courtois, combining classic American construction with refined European design concepts. Endorsed by legendary jazz trumpeter Al Hirt, the model is instantly recognisable by its distinctive Al Hirt face coin medallion on the valve casing and signature engraving on the bell.
