This is a lovely cornet dating from 1960, shortly before the company was purchased by Selmer. A rather beautiful cornet with attractive curved valve casings.
This cornet is in very nice condition with minimal dent repair in its lifetime. There are no signs of solder repair. The lacquer has patinaed with age and is thin and worn in touch areas. The nickel plated valves look great with no wear spots and we get a magnehelic reading comfortably under 2 inH2O when using a classic valve oil. The main slide has some minor damage on the tip of the lower inside tube. This horn has had a basic wash and new valve washers installed.
