This is the first of several refurbished Bach 180S37 trumpets we will offering for sale in the coming weeks. This trumpet dates from the mid to late 1990s. We have done quite a bit of work on this trumpet. It has had a full clean and service along with new valve stems, guides and springs. We replaced and fitted all the pistons with new giving this trumpet fresh new start with outstanding valve compression. This horn is tight!
It has polished up well but has some noticeable areas of wear in the silver plating. There were many small dents removed but no sign of heavy repair like a crushed bell or major solder work. The leadpipe is decent though has some very small early stage red rot areas. We chose to leave the original leadpipe on as there is plenty of life left in it and the current replacement parts from Bach are, well, not really reliable well enough to make a swap-out worthwhile.
This trumpet comes with the original case which is in poor condition and no mouthpiece.
