This balancer will not only help to balance the weight of a trombone front to back, but also side to side. The design of the mount enables the player to rotate the weight to offset the side weight.
Comes with a straight rod or a bent rod to help players who hold their horn with the bell angling to the outside. it allows the player to get the balancer in a position that is more parallel to the floor for optimum leverage.
There are 2 weights. The larger weight is the standard weight for a tenor trombone - 5.2 ounces. The smaller weight is 3.4 ounces and when you add that to the larger one it is the standard weight for a bass trombone. You can use one weight or both.
If you have issues putting your horn into the case with the balancer attached, simply loosen the screws that hold the rod into the mounting clamp and remove the weights. When you are ready to play just reinsert the rod and tighten the screws.
