Many trumpets new and used will be available for guests to try including:
- multiple Michael Sachs model C trumpets
- a great selection of Bach Bb trumpets including samples of both Bach's new "Artist Select" and "Artist Reserve" instruments

Special Covid Information:
For everyone's reassurance extra precautions will be set in place to provide a Covid safe event. In addition to the standard procedures of logging in and providing proof of vaccination (if applicable) anyone wishing to try a trumpet on the day must either provide a negative Covid test result from the previous 48 hours or take a provided test on the day. A Registered Immunization Nurse will be on-site to administer minimally invasive Rapid Antigen Testing to anyone wishing to try the trumpets at no cost. Please plan ahead and arrive ahead of time to allow 15 minutes for test results before trying the instruments.
Daniel Mendelow was born in New York City and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After studying the trumpet with Frank Ostrowski in Pittsburgh, Daniel graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory in 1976 with Honors and later that year was offered the Principal Trumpet position in Jerusalem, Israel at the age of 21. The following year at the invitation of Zubin Mehta, he became a member of the Israel Philharmonic trumpet section. In 1978, Daniel won the Principal Trumpet position with the Sydney Symphony in Australia where he built a career spanning the next 34 years as one of Australia's premier brass performers and teachers. Daniel has worked with and toured internationally with conductors including Leonard Bernstein, Zubin Mehta, Edo de Waart, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Lorin Maazel, Charles Dutoit, Sir Charles Mackerras, and has led the trumpet section in orchestras throughout Australia, as well as being a sought after soloist and clinician. He was also Professor of Trumpet at the Australian National University for 20 years, and many of his students now hold professional positions in orchestras throughout the world. Since retiring from the Sydney Symphony,. Daniel has given Masterclasses and Clinics at the Juilliard School, Northwestern University, Vandercook University, and numerous Music Hochschule and colleges in Germany, Denmark, South Africa, Thailand, Singapore, Penang, and Hong Kong, as well as performed with the Frankfurt Radio and Sarasota orchestras, and the Sarasota Opera.
